The Birth of Seth

Adam had relations with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son. Eve named the child Seth, stating that God had appointed another seed for her in place of Abel, whom Cain had killed (Genesis 4:25). After the birth of Seth, a son was born to him as well, whom Seth named Enosh. During this period, the text records that people began to call upon the name of the Lord (Genesis 4:26). Seth lived 105 years and fathered Enosh (Genesis 5:6). Following the birth of Enosh, Seth lived for 807 years and fathered more sons and daughters.
