Everybody in the Bible (everybodyinthebible.com) is a reference site. This page explains what information the site collects when you visit and how it is used. Last updated: 24 September 2026.
What the site collects
The site does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, address or payment details. If you sign up for the daily "Who Am I?" email in the footer, the site stores the email address you enter and uses it only to send that email; every message includes an unsubscribe link.
Like most websites, the site records standard technical information about visits — the page requested, the date and time, the type of browser and device, the country the request came from, and the site you arrived from. This is used to understand which pages people read and to keep the site working.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) and Ahrefs Web Analytics to measure traffic. These tools set cookies or use similar identifiers so that repeat visits can be counted. The reports the site owner sees are aggregated; they do not identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Grow by Mediavine
The site runs Grow by Mediavine, which powers the bookmark and share buttons and, in the future, advertising. Grow sets a cookie to remember your preferences. Mediavine's privacy policy is at https://www.mediavine.com/privacy-policy/.
Advertising
The site may show advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at https://www.google.com/settings/ads, or opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/. Google's policy on how it uses information from sites that use its services is at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
Amazon affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate, Everybody in the Bible earns from qualifying purchases. Some pages link to books on Amazon; if you buy through one of those links the site may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.
Cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but some features (such as remembering your preferences) may not.
Children
The site is written for general readers and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes and contact
